When A Real Badger Meets Banksy
British photographer Ian Wood won the Natural History Museum’s 2024 Wildlife Photographer of the Year People’s Choice Award in February 2025 with his photograph “No Access”.
The striking image shows an urban Eurasian badger pausing beside a wall, seemingly looking at a Banksy-style spray-painted image of another badger. A perfect and unexpected meeting between wildlife and street art.

“For Valentine’s Day, Banksy, the famous anonymous artists, created a wall stencil about domestic violence on a wall in Margate, UK. A photo of the work was then posted on his Instagram account, which has 12 million followers.”
