Heart Transplant : A Street Art Documentary
A not-for-profit, comprehensive, global documentary on Street Art. Assembled and contributed to by over 15 artists all over the world, “Heart Transplant” strives to bring a much needed sense of heart to such a controversial art form. These artists risk their lives to put their art up, for free, at hours of the day and night you’d rather be relaxing or sleeping, simply for the sake of art. We are not criminals – We are artists.
This documentary is intended to be an educational film approachable by anyone – you don’t need to be a street art expert to enjoy the film. It’s a very neutral documentary – it insults neither side of the great “street art” debate. Instead, it’s purpose is to explain the passion of street artists.

My thoughts are somehow different. In the future, what if on a life supporting Mars, history will repeat itself. Dinosaurs become extinct.
Will an asteroid or our highly developed planet will do that? Who knows?
The truth is out there.”

Stencil From The Block
După ce a organizat, în 2005, prima expoziţie în aer liber din România, CowParade, Art Directorul Lestat MONROE anunţă un nou proiect dedicat artei urbane.
Este vorba despre Expoziţia “STENCILS FROM THE BLOCK” (SFTB). Orice persoană dornică de a se exprima (tânără sau în vârstă, amatoare sau profesionistă) este invitată să se alăture celor mai renumiţi artişti de Stencil pentru a crea un autentic “document” istoric despre sfârşitul perioadei comuniste.
“Dacă ştii să desenezi, ai imaginaţie şi simţi că poţi oferi ceva înapoi celor care au luptat pentru o societate liberă ca aceea în care trăim astăzi, TU eşti persoana pe care o căutăm!” L. MONROE
Pentru prima dată, după aproape 23 de ani, artişti din tot spaţiul ex-sovietic se vor reuni pentru a răspunde la întrebarea:
“Cum îţi aminteşti sau imaginezi sfârşitul perioadei comuniste?”
utilizând lucrări realizate prin tehnica Stencil.
Cu ajutorul membrilor juriului, constituit din Art Directorul Lestat MONROE, Artistul român Mihai STĂNESCU şi Designerul francez Frederic MOLENAC, Expoziţia SFTB va reprezenta o modalitate de a oferi ceva înapoi oamenilor care s-au ridicat şi şi-au riscat viaţa pentru a se putea exprima liber, dar şi în memoria celor care nu mai sunt astăzi printre noi.
“Vechiul şablon a fost prezent la revoluţie, a ripostat cu mesaje şi a rezistat împreună cu cei care l-au creat. Mirosul vopselei, textura şablonului, rapiditatea execuţiei, cât şi impactul mesajului au rămas neschimbate. Eu unul vreau să văd această expoziţie vizuală a curajului şi speranţei din regimul comunist“, ne spune THE ORION, unul dintre artiştii români care deja şi-a exprimat dorinţa de a participa în cadrul Expoziţiei SFTB.
De asemenea, faţă de eveniment şi-au arătat interesul ACHE77 şi ORTAKU, doi dintre cei patru artişti, câştigători ai evenimentului “ENEL City of Energy”, organizat de compania ENEL.
“Proiectul SFTB mi se pare foarte bine gândit şi structurat, un adevărat exemplu demn de urmat şi de alţi curatori sau art directori având în vedere că la noi street art-ul abia începe să fie prezent în galerii. În plus, tematica atinge un subiect foarte sensibil în conformitate cu contextual politic actual“, ne spune ACHE77.
SFTB este un eveniment social care promovează artiştii locali şi educaţia artistică. Cele mai bune 10 lucrări vor fi premiate cu 100€!

Local Giant : KOMA Mini Art Exhibition
A young and talented graffiti and street-desired artist from Jakarta with his infamous Indonesian giant ” Buto Ijo ” visualized in a new era eye-candy-colored comic illustration krink-splattered around Jakarta busy streets. KOMA has art projects with various most wanted artist around the globe. He has placed himself on the edge of the graffiti world.
