“French muralist Seth Globepainter travels the world creating playful, whimsical murals that pay tribute to the cultural traditions of the places he visits. Without an overt political message, he paints curious children in his enormous works, hoping to incite a similar, wide-eyed sense of wonder in his adult viewers.” – Hi-Fructose

Liverpool Biennial: Wendell McShine – ArtConnect
15 September – 25 November 2012:
Video documentation of Wendell McShine’s ArtConnect project earlier this year with regulars from the Bluecoat’s learning disabled group, Blue Room, and young people from the Pad in Norris Green.
“We all share a common interest to the well being of our societies and self expression is one of our core values both as individuals and groups. I have created the Art Connect Project rooted in the philosophy that investment in education, art and humanities is vital for the uplifting and development of any society. This program is created to promote self awareness through the use of educational and dynamic creative workshops.”
Stern, a photojournalist who splits his time between L.A. and his native England, gave us insight into the series that won us over so quickly, “You Are Not Banksy” His satisfyingly precise real life versions of Banksy’s flower chucker, Mona Lisa with rocket-propelled grenade, kissing bobbies, etc., all of which we’d stared at in awe of every careful detail, came about after a parallel amount of attention to: “2 or 3 months of scouring eBay and Army and Navy shops,” Stern told the Huffington Post. “I wanted to see how possible it is to recreate [Banksy's work] as three-dimensional photographs. I found out it’s quite difficult.”
Stern got the idea for the series while directing a photo shoot for an actor friend of his. It was summery out, and Stern wanted to do a portrait inspired by last summer’s London riots. After styling his friend to look like Banksy’s famous image of a man throwing a flower pot instead of a petrol bomb, Stern realized he was onto something.

Developed in partnership with DeepLocal and StandardRobot, the Chalkbot in appearance is similar to an ink jet printer, except at a much larger scale. The trailer mounted device is fully self-contained and pneumatically spray out either messages or graphics. The device will debut at the 2nd Stage of 2009 Tour de France on July 5th.
The txtBOMBER is a one-hand-guerillia-tool – a machine not much bigger than a pressing iron – that generates political statements on the fly and immidiately prints them on any flat surface.
If you feel you are part of our modern viewless generation, the txtBOMBER is the perfect tool for you! Just switch it on, it’s powered by a strong battery. And move it along a wall. It’s that easy to show your (?) its (?) someones (?) opinion of something (?) someone?! Hell! You should reconsider whether you’re keen enough to use it!
