Skateboard Graffiti Wall
“A wall of 50 skateboards was painted by graffiti artists Dream TWS, Ders Dalucco, Dosic and VIewone.
Now the unique numbered pieces can be bought in an auktion.
All proceeds go to SKATEISTAN the first skateboardschool in Kabul, Afghanistan.
The painting action took place at the “Go Skateboarding Days” 2010 in Basel, which marked the beginning of the project SKATE TO KABUL.
SKATE TO KABUL collects skateboard equipment to support SKATEISTAN.
Furthermore kids and teenagers of both cultures can contact each other via the donated gear.
They can skate across the cultural gap, as it were.“
Are you human?
“You probably had to enter it somewhere on a website already; a CAPTCHA code.
A random string of awkwardly placed numbers and characters, to be recognized and entered to verify you really are human. Architect Aram Bartholl (DE) places CAPTCHA codes as tags in the public space. Their strange art of writing makes sure the codes blend in the street view unnoticed. “

In recent years street art has grown bolder, more ornate, more sophisticated and—in many cases—more acceptable. Yet unsanctioned public art remains the problem child of cultural expression, the last outlaw of visual disciplines. It has also become a global phenomenon of the 21st century.
Made in collaboration with featured artists, Trespass examines the rise and global reach of graffiti and urban art, tracing key figures, events and movements of self-expression in the city’s social space, and the history of urban reclamation, protest, and illicit performance.
